Our latest collaboration with Jeff Canham was set to pay homage to the OG’s - Brewer, Greenough, Velzy, the Bonzer. Well, he certainly hit the mark. The only issue is the fin screws are too big, the bases are too thick, and the fins have no foil…what the heck Jeff?
The Fin Sculptures
These amazing fin sculptures by Mr Canham were built in San Francisco, California at the avant-garde Woodshop in the Outer Sunset.This is also where Danny Hess and many of his incredible surfboards reside.
More about Jeff Canham
Jeff grew up in Hawaii, studied graphic design at the University of Oregon, and afterward became the Art Director of Surfer magazine in Southern California. In 2005 he moved to the Bay Area and began apprenticing at New Bohemia Signs where he learned the traditional art of sign painting. With a BFA in graphic design and a very unofficial degree in hand lettering from New Bohemia, his colorful typographic compositions combine both new and old techniques.
